Prenatal Yoga

Women have an innate wisdom regarding birth, but in today’s society many women do not realize that they have this capacity. It is my goal to help you reconnect with this knowledge through breathwork (pranayama), yoga postures (asana), meditation, and deep relaxation. This combination enables you to tap into your inner strength, eliminate fear, and bring you in touch with your intuitive mind so that you may experience a more conscious pregnancy and birth. Yoga creates a nice environment for mom and baby to co-exist harmoniously. In addition, yoga instills a sense of peacefulness and clarity of mind that helps you better connect with your baby on the inside as well as be a more confident parent when your little one is born.

Benefits of Prenatal Yoga

  • Provides exercises (asanas) that cater to the physiology of the pregnant body with the safety of mom and baby always in mind
  • Prepares women for the challenges of labor and birth
  • Helps women manage common discomforts of pregnancy including back pain, sciatica, nausea, heartburn, and swelling of the hands and feet
  • Strengthens the physical body and increases endurance and flexibility
  • Strengthens the uterine and pelvic muscles to aid delivery and recovery

Please have a yoga mat and 2 yoga blocks. Rates are based on most NYC locations, are subject to change, and are non-refundable.

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy.
